In an interview, Ms. Hong Fangqiong, Vice Chairwoman of CNK Electronics, stated that Pingshan is the company’s most important R&D and sales hub, where a well‑developed industrial ecosystem, a concentration of talent, and a vibrant culture of innovation provide an ideal environment for the company’s growth.
From “Display” to “Chip”: Corporate Upgrades Align with Regional Strategies
Over the next five years, CNK will focus on high-end OLED and HMI modules, advance the localization of core driver chips, and shift from traditional monochrome displays to higher‑value‑added products. This aligns closely with Pingshan District’s 15th Five-Year Plan, which prioritizes silicon‑based manufacturing and optoelectronic chips. In an interview, Ms. Hong Fangqiong expressed her hope that Pingshan would further attract and nurture upstream supporting enterprises, bringing “neighbors” such as driver ICs, glass substrates, and backlight modules right to its doorstep, thereby forging a more complete electronic information ecosystem. “The closer the upstream and downstream are to one another, the more sparks of innovation will fly.” This aspiration is, in fact, the most vivid testament to Pingshan’s efforts to build an advanced manufacturing cluster.
